Bottom of Funnel ChatGPT?

Greg Heilers Jolly SEO Newsletter

Happy Tuesday!

This week, we are going onsite. Yes, that's right, your favorite offsite newsletter can get smart about onsite content, too!

Creating Evidence, So LLMs Cite You

Comparison pieces are back. Drill down into "Best X vs Best Y" articles. Make sure to position your product as superior, so AI pushes you to the front of "Best X" queries.

ChatGPT uses comparison pieces as their "evidence" to justify endorsing your company, even when the website is small and the content doesn't rank well in Google.

Structuring Pages for AI Citations

On your product/local pages, you need full, clear, comparable info: Specifications, Features, Benefits, Unit types that match competitors. And, importantly, no key details hidden behind JavaScript.

Information Gain is Back!

ChatGPT also wants genuinely new, useful information that isn't included in the currently-top-ranking content. What would win are unique tips, troubleshooting steps, and real-world nuance - the kind of stuff only real experts know enough to add value to the conversation.

All of this is great news for real experts, both us SEOs and the great companies we support.

Until next week, Greg
